Glazer wins SD7 special election; will face Bonilla in May runoff

STATE SENATE | 7TH DISTRICT | Voters in the 7th State Senate District, at least the few who participated in Tuesday's special election, gave centrist Democrat Steve Glazer a seven-point win over Assemblymember Susan Bonilla. Since no candidate attained a majority of the vote, the campaigns will reload and meet again in the May 19 runoff.

The result suggest the state senate district not only reacted positively to Steve Glazer's centrist platform, but also issued a rebuke to an apparent behind-the-scenes move by labor to undermine his campaign.

A labor-backed independent expenditure committee named the Asian American Small Business PAC made waves in recent weeks for spending over $100,000 to support the lone Republican in the race, while also opposing Glazer's campaign.

[CLICK HERE FOR COMPLETE ELECTION RESULTS]

The scheme, once exposed, seemed to have backfired on labor, who vehemently oppose Glazer for his stance against public transit strikes like those that occurred with BART in 2013.

With all of the precincts reporting in both Contra Costa and Alameda Counties, Glazer lead the five-person field with 32.8 percent of the vote. Glazer easily topped the field in both counties. "It was a good night tonight," said Glazer's Facebook page. "We are headed to the runoff on May 19th!"

Bonilla held off former Assemblymember Joan Buchanan, both Democrats, for the second spot with 24.9 percent. Although, Bonilla more than held her own in the much larger portion of the district within Contra Costa County, she finished a distant fourth in Alameda County and behind a candidate who dropped out the race last month.

Buchanan, who may have been more well-known to a slight majority of voters finished with 22.6 percent.

Republican Michaela Hertle returned a strong showing Tuesday night, especially since she dropped out of the race last month and endorsed Glazer's campaign. Hertle earned a fourth place finish with 17 percent of the vote. Democrat Terry Kremin garnered 2.8 percent of the vote.

Voter turnout, which had become a positive development in this special election, failed to generate much interest on Election Day. In both counties combined, participation was just 20 percent of registered voters, which count nearly 488,000. In Alameda County, for instance, just over three percent of voters cast a ballot on Tuesday.

Offering our most sincere congratulations to Senator-elect Steve Glazer. He and dear Assemblywoman Cathy Baker will be an awesome tag team who will work on behalf of the public and not the entrenched and deceitful special interests.

Well done, Steve!

Oh, it's over. We have SENATOR STEVE GLAZER for the next 12 years. Pumped!

Just checked out the Contra Costa ROV latest. The 3 more progressive to moderate candidates( Bonilla,Buchanan and Kremin) had ~51% of the vote. The 2 most conservative had ~ 49% of the vote. Since a low turnout election usually favors the conservative, it looks like Susan Bonilla can win the run-off when there will be more voters.

Keep having those wet dreams. Steve is the choice of moderate Democrats, independents and Republicans. The math, and the voters, favor him.

He wins hands down in May. Tax payers win; union whores have lost.

Sounds to me like the sexist at 11:29 is very worried his candidate will lose the run off. Me thinks he doth protest to much, in vulgar language at that. Glazer is a conservative corporate mouthpiece and no moderate. Susan Bonilla, with any type of a turnout over 25%, should win. Susan is the moderate and progressive. You go girl!

Please sing to the melody of 'Second Hand Rose.'

Second-place Sue, she's known as Second-place Sue--and second place is what she AGAIN will do.

Second-place Sue, she's known as Second-place Sue--and after May she will finally be through!

Friends, my team and I gave you ASSEMBLYWOMAN CATHY BAKER and we made sure that SENATOR STEVE GLAZER was the first-place winner. He won't be allowed to fail. Cathy and Steve are most definitely THE PEOPLE'S CHOICE WINNERS!

Ya'll can call me Hoss!

Look at the Secretary of states website. The 3 more progressive to moderate candidates( Bonilla,Buchanan and Kremin) had over 50% of the vote. The 2 most conservative had less than 50% of the vote. Since a low turnout election usually favors the conservative and the progressives still captured more votes, it looks like Susan Bonilla can win the run-off when there will be even more voters. You and I both know Glazer is a corporate lapdog and NOT the people's choice. Susan Bonilla, the moderate, will make you sing a different tune after the run off.

Second-place Sue is our first choice for #2--and that's the best she can do!

Thank you, SENATOR STEVE GLAZER. You are the People's Choice!!

Glazer is trying to be all things to all voters. He tells Republicans he’s anti-tax, anti-union, and pro-development. He tells Democrats he was responsible for the Prop 30 tax increases, is against income inequity, and is pro-environment (despite receiving big contributions from big corporations).. The tells independents he’s independent, yet has received more than $600,000 in contributions that have benefited his campaign from 1 LA business person. You just can’t trust Steve Glazer.

You can sure trust him to ban BART strikes.

SENATOR STEVE GLAZER--the People's Choice!

Steve Glazer is a Republican pretending to be a Democrat. He is a cipher. A broken record of anti worker (Middle Class) and anti Union blather. His Orinda record shows noregard for the impacts of development in crowded areas. He does not merit advancement because he is a corporate and business shill.

Glazer is not the people's choice unless 30% represents the people. With a little higher turn out in the run off. Susan Bonilla should be able to run away with the election. If you add up the moderate votes and the progressive votes, they total much more than the conservative Glazer votes. Susan should be our next State Senator because she is much more moderate than her opponent, who is in the hands of big business. Senator Susan Bonilla has a nice ring to it.

Keep having those wet dreams. Steve is the choice of moderate Democrats, independents and Republicans. The math, and the voters, favor him.

He wins hands down in May. Tax payers win; union whores have lost.

My family and I voted for Second Place Sue but will now proudly support Mr. Senator Glazer since he is the favorite to win hands down. We've now placed our Sue house sign in the recycling bin where it belongs.

Look to the Baker/Sbranti assembly race for guidance. . .those that support Bonilla should pause for at least one second and consider that outcome.

The woman won in the Baker vs. Sbranti race and the woman, Susan Bonilla the moderate, will win again. Practice saying Senator Susan Bonilla "the people's choice".

Please sing to the melody of 'Second Hand Rose.'

Second-place Sue, she's known as Second-place Sue--and second place is what she AGAIN will do.

Second-place Sue, she's known as Second-place Sue--and after May she will finally be through!

The conservative newspapers only print one-sided info on what they want you to believe. No one has received more corrupt independent expenditure money from outside groups than Glazer.

He has received almost $600,000 from a Southern California conservative businessman, almost $400,000 from the California Chamber of Commerce PAC ( most of which went to oppose Bonilla and Buchanan), and about $175,000 from the Charter School Association as of the end of last week. Talk about sleaze?

We can call 8:45 an idiot because Susan Bonilla will be our next Senator, because we don't elect corporate stooges like Glazer in SD7.

My family and I voted for Second Place Sue but will now proudly support Mr. Senator Glazer since he is the favorite to win hands down. We've now placed our Sue house sign in the recycling bin where it belongs.

My family voted for Glazer, but now that we know Glazer received more special interest money than Susan, mostly from businesses, corporations, and the extreme California Chamber of commerce, we will be voting for Susan Bonilla our next State Senator.

Second-place Sue is our first choice for #2--and that's the best she can do!

Thank you, SENATOR STEVE GLAZER. You are the People's Choice!!

Just want to keep rubbing your noses in it:

Union whore-busters All Star Roster of Fame:

With special appearances by: Congressman Eric Swalwell, BART Director Bob Raburn, and extra special guest star Assemblywoman Cathy Baker. Special Guest Star: San Jose Mayor Sam Liccardo. Extra special visiting super star: Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu. Joining the All Stars in May: Senator Steve Glazer, who will round out the full sweep.

Among those thrown onto the trash heap of union whore losers: Whortney Stark, Ellen Whorbett, Lena HO Tam, Dave Whortese, Tom MITTbranti, and more.

This message has been brought to you by our All Stars, who have swept all offices in the past two elections. They are the PEOPLE'S CHOICE ALL STARS, and they put union sluts where they belong: on the trash heap of history! Pumped!!

The anti union foul-mouthed sexist troll above seems to forget that the Democratic party and the Unions( creators of the middle class) won over 95% of all their Bay Area races last November including a sweep of all the statewide races. We will take those percentages every time. Glad he is happy with his pitiful 4 or 5%.

It looks like the moderate Susan Bonilla will have a good chance of winning a straight up race with the corporate extreme Glazer, who took over 1 million in special interest money from business groups mostly located out of the Bay Area. The most special interest money of any candidate. What a corporate puppet.

Even if Glazer should benefit and win because of another low turnout (that always benefits the conservatives), he will have to run again in 2016 which is a Presidential election year. These Presidential years have a much higher turnout that favor the more progressive candidates. Glazer will surly lose then, and Baker will most likely go with him. Most voters don't take kindly to candidates that have such radical followers as the troll above.

Keep having those wet dreams. Steve is the choice of moderate Democrats, independents and Republicans. The math, and the voters, favor him.

Sounds to me like 2:10 is very worried his candidate will lose the run off. Me thinks he doth protest to much. Glazer is a conservative corporate mouthpiece and no moderate. Susan Bonilla, with any type of a turnout over 25%, should win. Susan is the moderate and progressive and the people's choice!

My family and I voted for Second Place Sue but will now proudly support Mr. Senator Glazer since he is the favorite to win hands down. We've now placed our Sue house sign in the recycling bin where it belongs.

My family and I will vote for Susan Bonilla since she received less special interest money than Glazer and is the cleaner of the two candidates. We voted for Joan Buchanan in the last election and both she and Eric Swalwell are now supporting Susan.

With all the special interest corrupt and dirty union money that has created a toxic effect in recent elections, my family and I will be very proudly supporting Mr. Senator Steve Glazer. He is the only clean and independent candidate in this election.

The union money was miniscule compared to the almost 2 million spent by the extreme right wing for the corporate corrupt Glazer. Over 1 million from the Southern California businessman, and another million from the California Chamber of Commerce + the Charter School Association. Oh yeah, they really care about us. Glazer is not clean and not independent. That's why we will vote for the cleaner Susan Bonilla. She cares about middle class working families and has taken far less money from special interests than your candidate.

Remember the progressive to moderate candidates had over 50% of the vote, while the more conservative candidates, Glazer and the Republican, had less than 50%. This is with only 23% of the voters turning out. The run-off should bring even more of the progressive moderates out. This means a narrow, but a victory, for Susan Bonilla if there is at least a 25% voter turn out. I worked last weekend for Susan and got good response even from Republican women. It seems they figured Glazer is not the friend of the middle income voters. Senator Susan Bonilla looks like a reality.

A reality--in your wet dreams. A greater turnout, kid, you don't understand politics at all. A smaller turnout to be sure. Really doesn't matter, though. The public doesn't support union whores. In fact, we look down our noses at them. The reality is that you will soon be saying 'Senator Steve Glazer.' Say that with a big smile on your face, bitch.

Steve Glazer is where he is because he gives a damn about ordinary people. He's not bought and paid for by the ultra-liberal Democratic Establishment. He's a rare breed of Democrat, one that doesn't exist in the Bay Area anymore--a real middle of the road MODERATE. That label alone, while a badge of honor, has caused those elements to vilify him beyond belief.

Sounds to me like the anti-union, anti middle class sexist at 8:43 is very worried his candidate will lose the run off. Me thinks he protests to much, in vulgar language at that. Glazer is a conservative corporate mouthpiece and no moderate. Susan Bonilla, with any type of a turnout over 25%, should win. Susan is the moderate and progressive. Practice saying Senator Susan Bonilla who has not been bought and paid for by corporate big businessmen from out of town like your candidate.

My family and I voted for Second Place Sue but will now proudly support Mr. Senator Glazer since he is the favorite to win hands down. We've now placed our Sue house sign in the recycling bin where it belongs.

steveglazer1If you are a voter in Walnut Creek or Concord, San Ramon, Livermore or Pleasanton, you might not want to support Democrat Steve Glazer for state Senate. Maybe you support the right of transit workers to strike, or you don’t want to reform teacher tenure or government pensions. Maybe you just want to support the candidate who will always vote labor’s position on every issue.

Those are valid reasons to oppose Glazer, Orinda mayor and Gov. Jerry Brown’s longtime political strategist, and to support Assemblywoman Susan Bonilla, the other Democrat in the May 19 run-off election in Senate District 7.

What, however, are utterly fabricated, hogwash “reasons” to do so are that Glazer has “sold out” to big tobacco, “sold out” on women’s rights or that he “says one thing and does another” – all lies being told to smear Glazer by a group of labor unions determined to punish him for being an independent Democrat.

Sludge Bucket Charges The principal (fabricated) charges against Glazer are based on the fact that he – like a number of other Democratic consultants – worked for the California Chamber of Commerce in support of business-friendly Democrats that ran in primaries against union-backed Democrats.

susanbonillaGlazer hasn’t taken money from tobacco companies; they did contribute to the Chamber. Glazer has always been vehemently pro-choice on abortion and a supporter of women’s rights; some of the candidates the Chamber has backed aren’t. And, sin of sins, he’s received financial support from individuals and organizations that prefer him as a business-friendly Democrat to candidates seen as in the pocket of labor unions.

Moreover, if being backed by “special interests” is the charge – and Glazer benefited from nearly $600,000 in spending from various interests — Bonilla has a lot to answer for, too. In addition to nearly $240,000 in direct support from labor unions (not to mention independent expenditures), she’s pulled in more than $276,000 from business and corporate interests including the healthcare, big pharma, oil and gas, development and gambling industries.

Glazer has pledged to accept no gifts, meals or beverages from lobbyists; to disclose his answers to any special interests questionnaires; not to pay family members from campaigns contributions; to refuse tax-free per diem expenses or Senate work on weekends and holidays, and to eschew campaign contributions in the final 60 days of the legislative session.

That would make him one of the squeakiest clean legislators in Sacramento. But he would not necessarily vote with the teachers, prison guards or public employees on every measure that comes before the Legislature. If that’s the kind of Democrat you want, Glazer is not your guy.

Insiders and Outsiders For a long time in California, there have been two kinds of Democrats: those who labor unions can count on for support on any issue; and those who don’t vote the union line every time. Most insider Democrats in Sacramento, sadly, are captives of Big Labor. Most outside Democrats in California support labor most, but not all, of the time.

Merit pay for teachers, limits on pay and retirement benefits for prison guards, restrictions on public transportation employees’ right to strike and controlled growth policies limiting new construction in cities and counties are just a few issues where a strong, independent Democrat might have principled differences with unions representing various workers.

Steve Glazer is a lifelong progressive, pro-choice, pro-environment, pro-working class, Jerry Brown Democrat. The campaign to brand him as a traitor to Democratic values is beyond scurrilous.

So now we are supposed to believe posts from conservatives:

Glazer isn't Centrist. He's Duplicitous. Glazer says whatever the polls tell him to say. He thinks the voters are stupid and the Republicans will believe he's anti-tax, when he's put millions of taxes on the property and sales taxes of Orinda residents...they will believe he is anti-double tunnels, when it's very clear that he says he's against as written and his East Bay Leadership Council debate response included saying we needed to take care of the water needs of the whole state but they had to pay (shorthand for Double Tunnels). Glazer has a thousand bridges to sell you. If you want to take more Northern California water (like Brown does) to Southern California through two 35 million dollar tunnels then Glazer is your man. If you want to keep more of our precious water from going South then vote for Susan Bonilla. That's what my neighbors and I plan to do.

My family and I voted for Second Place Sue but will now proudly support Mr. Senator Glazer since he is the favorite to win hands down. We've now placed our Sue house sign in the recycling bin where it belongs.

If the corporate lapdog wins, we definitely won't be better off. Unless, you think the idea of letting a Southern California corporate Billionaire buy an election for him, will be good for our democracy. You probably think " Citizens United" was a good idea also. Corporations and their masters don't give a damn about us, the shrinking middle class moderates, and that's why we will be voting for Susan Bonilla. She represents the moderate middle class far more than the corporate(bought and paid for) Glazer.

Steve Glazer is where he is because he gives a damn about ordinary people. He's not bought and paid for by the ultra-liberal Democratic Establishment. He's a rare breed of Democrat, one that doesn't exist in the Bay Area anymore--a real middle of the road MODERATE. Glazer is not clean and is not moderate. He is the dirtiest and most corrupt of all as far as having special interest money spent on his behalf. Glazer received more special interest money than any other candidate, most from a conservative corporate Southern California business man who spent over 1 million on Glazer's behalf in the just finished last election. I do argue that Susan Bonilla is cleaner since she got less special interest money than the corporate Glazer did, and she definitely is the moderate in this race.

I think one of the posters above got it right. Glazer got so much corrupt money (independent expenditures) from the Ca. Chamber of Commerce and the So. Ca. conservative multi-millionaire businessman because they want our water to go south thru the twin tunnels Brown is proposing. Most of us have seen the light and will vote for Susan Bonilla because we are against the twin canals stealing our water and sending it to Southern California. Nuf said

Second Place Sue is still our number one choice for number two--the best she can do. Our family likes the fact that Steve Glazer is the only true moderate Democrat in this race. He and Assemblywoman Cathy Baker will be an awesome tag team for the next twelve years.

Mr. Dobwell and I can't support whores. We were always taught to look down our noses at them. Since Second Place Sue, the best she can do, is loaded with toxic, dirty, bocoupt union whore money, we will vote for the only clean candidate running.

SENATOR STEVE GLAZER 2016! He's the People's Choice!

Glazer is not clean and is not moderate. He is the dirtiest and most corrupt of all as far as having special interest money spent on his behalf. SENATOR STEVE GLAZER 2016! He's the People's Choice!

Wow! Susan Bonilla endorsed by both Eric Swalwell, a Democratic moderate, and Greg Ahern, a Republican moderate. They have convinced me to vote for Susan. Just don't trust Glazer taking all that money from the Chamber and big business. Looks to the rest of us that Susan Bonilla is the People's Choice. Is your candidate as sexist as you 4:50? Beinf a foul-mouthed sexist is hurting your candidate instead of helping since most the voters are women.

Wow! Steve Glazer endorsed by both Kathleen Brown, a Democratic moderate, and Dick Rainey, a Republican moderate. They have convinced me to vote for Steve. Just can't trust Bonilla taking all that dirty union money from Labor and union shills. Looks to all of us that Steve Glazer is the People's Choice. Your candidate is just as whorrible as you!

Sounds to me like the anti-union, anti middle class sexist at 4:50 and 6:13 is very worried his candidate will lose the run off.

My name is little Alice, age 7. Mommy told me that I can be anything that I want. She says that my role model should be First Place Steve not Second Place Sue. I'm going to be a First Place Steve when I grow up because mommy said that I shouldn't ever settle for being a dirty union slut.

SENATOR STEVE GLAZER--he's the People's Choice!

Just how stupid are you 9:14? Do you think we don't know you are the one and only person on this blog who doesn't like Susan Bonilla even though Susan doesn't want to create another peripheral canal to send our water South to the wasteful LA and San Diego areas. Glazer and Brown and the corporate PACS want Glazer to win because they want a lot more of our drinking water. Thanks for nothing Glazer and the sexist anti union troll who keeps blogging for him. Since you don't live in the area, no one cares what you think.

Tobacco Smear Campaign
Facts About The Tobacco Smear Campaign
Against Steve Glazer

A campaign committee promoting the election of Assemblywoman Susan Bonilla is running a tobacco smear campaign against Steve Glazer which leading newspapers have branded as “deceptive”[i], “childish”, [ii] “misleading”[iii] and “deceitful”. [iv]

These are the facts:

Steve has never worked for a tobacco company.
Steve has never taken a campaign donation from a tobacco company.
As a City Councilmember and Mayor, Steve voted for tougher requirements on tobacco sales and advertising.
The work Steve did for the California Chamber of Commerce – for which he is being attacked – was to elect members to the State Assembly who have actually fought for tougher laws on tobacco. Richard Bloom and Marc Levin, both first elected to the State Assembly in 2012, are known as anti-tobacco legislators. Assemblymember Bloom has worked to ban smoking on public beaches and Assemblymember Levine supports a ban on smoking in multi-family dwellings. Neither have taken campaign contributions from tobacco companies.
As Mayor of Orinda, Steve has recently proposed even tougher tobacco control laws.
Steve has issued a public statement calling tobacco “addictive” and “deadly.” To read the statement, please click here

To date, the following entities have contributed to the committee running the smear campaign [v]:

California State Council of Service Employees Political Committee $185,000

Committee for Working Families, Sponsored by the California Labor Federation, AFL-CIO $25,000

California Dental Association Independent Expenditure PAC $7,000

Management & Professional Employee Association MAPA PAC- AFSCME Local 1001 $5,000

American Federation of State, County & Municipal Employees-Council 57 PAC: $5,000

These same entities have also made substantial contributions to Susan Bonilla’s campaign.

Glazer has got double the independent expenditure money than the people's choice and middle class champion Susan Bonilla. He is twice as corrupt, wants to send our drinking water South, and most of his millions in independent expenditures have come from corporate billionaires outside of Northern Calif. Glazer is a despicable and duplicitous councilman from Orinda who speaks out of both sides of his conservative mouth.

Glazer got so much corrupt money (independent expenditures) from the Ca. Chamber of Commerce and the So. Ca. conservative multi-billionaire businessman because they want our water to go south thru the twin tunnels Brown is proposing. Most of us have seen the light and will vote for Susan Bonilla because we are against the twin canals stealing our water and sending it to Southern California.

No 'cigar,' figuratively speaking, liars.

No matter how many times you make the same post 12:39 it won't change the fact that Glazer is a corporate hack and doesn't care about middle class working families. It's Susan Bonilla for the rest of us........the progressives, the middle class, and the moderate right.

Amen 2:30, Amen--------he was a consultant for JobsPAC which is funded mostly by huge corporations which have reaped large tax breaks for themselves. These include Tobacco, and Oil giants. I'll be voting for Susan because Glazer isn't honest.

I had already decided to vote for Mr. Glazer since he's the only clean 'politician' in this race. My neighbor then reminded me that Second Place Sue still has time left on her assembly term. She's greedy. She's decided that she wants the tax payers to spend for yet ANOTHER special election, which is exactly what would happen if she jumped boats to the senate. Let her finish her term and then--G-d forbid--go back to the private sector and work for a living. We don't need yet another special election at tax payer expense. My neighbor is right that Steve Glazer is the best choice in the election. A vote for Steve is a vote against spending for a special election.

I am convinced. Steve Glazer is definitely the People's Choice and great for the tax payers, too!!!

2:30 and 2:46 agreeing with each other? Wow, smells like the same old ultra-liberal Berkeley bitch to us. No surprise here.

Steve Glazer for 7th District State Senate Proven Environmentalist, More Accessible--The Independent

The Independent

By Janet Armantrout

Voters in the State Senate 7th District have a choice between two Democrats on May 19. Susan Bonilla and Steve Glazer are on the ballot to replace Mark DeSaulnier, who was elected to Congress last November.

Bonilla and Glazer were the top two finishers in the March 17 primary.

With little to separate them on the issues, independent political action committees have launched a barrage of nasty flyers in support of and opposition to one or the other candidate. Both have big spenders behind them. Glazer is backed by Bill Bloomfield, JobsPAC (California Chamber of Commerce PAC) and the California Charter Schools Association; Bonilla is heavily favored by unions.

Their associations with such groups have raised questions about their ability to maintain an objective viewpoint on issues impacting the funders of their political campaigns.

The Independent interviewed each separately. Both support more storage for water and are against the two tunnel system proposed by Gov. Brown to deliver water from the Delta. They see the need to improve traffic along the I-580 corridor by bringing BART to Livermore. Each expressed the necessity of a strong educational system to keep the economy growing and to lift people out of poverty.

Glazer has a demonstrated involvement with environmental issues, with a long history of working with such organizations as Save the Bay. On behalf of the Trust for Public Land, he worked on measures in more than 25 states to protect clean water and thousands of acres of open space. He has said that he supports minimizing regulations that don't diminish health and safety, but have a negative impact on business. As technology changes, environmental laws have to keep up.

He supports laws enacted to reduce carbon emissions, which he calls an important method of reducing greenhouse gases. It is a stand that is contrary to that taken by the Chamber of Commerce, and one we support.

His desire to prevent BART strikes has drawn the ire of unions. He notes that New York, Chicago, Massachusetts, and San Francisco all restrict transit strikes. We believe his tone is too strident when he talks about the issue. However, he says that he still believes in the collective bargaining process.

We do agree with his stand on moving forward with pension reform, which he believes is necessary to ensure funds are available when workers retire. We don't agree with his lack of support for closing the business tax loophole in Proposition 13.

Glazer strongly backs adding more charter schools, a move we believe would weaken regular public schools.

Bonilla mentioned favoring a sunset clause for environmental laws, which would limit how long they are in effect. She says that would provide an opportunity to review their value. A sunset clause could lead to a loss of important provisions. While she votes favorably on most environmental issues, she has no record of active involvement.

Bonilla has been strong on child care, noting that without the availability of affordable care for their children, many women would not be able to work.

Because of her backing by unions, Bonilla has been accused of being too in tune with unions to take on pension reform or changes in teacher tenure.

With both of them coming from the northern portion of the district, accessibility is of concern. Glazer appears more willing to involve himself in local issues. Bonilla has shown little interest, focusing more on topics where she lives than the Tri-Valley.

Although we don't support his views on some important issues, we are recommending Steve Glazer for the State Senate 7th District mainly because of his proven record on behalf of the environment and his willingness to engage in Tri-Valley issues.

Glazer is not clean and is not moderate. He is the dirtiest and most corrupt of all as far as having special interest money spent on his behalf. Glazer received more special interest money than any other candidate, most from a conservative corporate Southern California business man who has spent over 2 million on Glazer's behalf in the election. I do argue that Susan Bonilla is cleaner since she got less special interest money than the corporate hack Glazer did, and she definitely is the moderate in this race. Susan is the people's choice!

My Puerto Rican lesbian bitch wife and I were all set to vote for Second Place Sue until we found out how much corrupt, toxic, and beaucoupt union slut money she has been receiving. We think that is high time that bitch returns to the private sector and stop nursing on the public tit.

For us it's CLEAN STEVE GLAZER all the way. He's the PEOPLE'S CHOICE!

4:51 is just the foul-mouthed sexist Glazer troll again who thinks calling people names is helping his candidate. What a joke he is. I guess he thinks it's ok to take twice as much money from corporate conservative PAC's funded by out of town millionaires and oil, tobacco, and pharmaceutical companies makes his candidate the people's choice. How wrong he is! Will give him the Tea Party conservatives, but Susan Bonilla is the working middle class families choice which in the rest of our minds makes Susan the people's choice and the cleaner candidate.

My name is little Margarita, age 7.
