Alco Supervisor Nate Miley to Muslim activist: 'Do you think terrorism exists?'

Alameda County Supervisor Nate Miley
ALCO BOARD OF SUPERVISORS | Alameda County Supervisor Nate Miley said implicit bias definitely exists when it comes to law enforcement suspecting some Muslims of terrorist activities. Moments later, the excitable District Four supervisor asked a surveillance opponent, who is Muslim, "Do you think terrorism exists?"

Miley directed the question to Mohamad Shehk, a communication director for Critical Resistance, a group dedicated to eliminating the prison industrial complex. Shehk was a public speaker who addressed the Alameda County Board of Supervisors last week on the issue of federal funding for anti-terrorism in the county, including Urban Shield, the regional terrorist preparedness gathering held annually in Pleasanton.

"I think the way in which we view terrorism is greatly over-exaggerated,” said Shehk.

“You didn’t answer the question, but you do think that it exists?" said Miley. "You’re just saying it’s over-exaggerated. Thank you. All I’m saying is people need to be prepared for it. Thank you. You answered the question.”

But, Shehk continued. "If you can answer me the last time we had a terrorist attack in Alameda County versus the last time we’ve had police killings?”

“Point!” Miley interrupted. "That’s the point.”

In an interview, Shehk said the question was odd and offensive. "He completely dismissed the way in which the war on terror itself has been the greatest terrorism of the past decade, claiming the lives of over a million Muslims across the globe," said Shehk. "Not to mention the profiling, surveillance, and policing practices that have been used not only against Muslims here in the U.S., but against Black and Brown people more generally, particularly post-9/11.

"The constructed threats to public safety of the Muslim 'terrorist,' just as with the Latino 'illegal immigrant' and the Black 'criminal,' is how programs like Urban Shield justify themselves, providing the state more tools and tactics to target and control our communities."

Before the exchange, Miley offered strong support for law enforcement and specifically Urban Shield. “I do think Urban Shield is something that is appropriate for Alameda County and for the the Sheriff's Department," he said. "Reasonable people are going to disagree on that and I don’t mind being on the side that says public safety is extremely important. It’s extremely important and those folks who don’t share that, I respect them, but I have a different opinion.”

So Nate Miley said he thinks public safety is extremely important. Such a statement coming from a creature such as Nate Miley, and who is one of the biggest demagogues, charlatans, and scam artists in California history, is one of the very funniest statements I have ever heard.

Miley is an embarrassment. A very poor politician indeed. I think that he, himself is a terrorist using his office to do some terrible crap to people. He is a horrible, horrible person.

Any terrorists that might possibly exist in Alameda County if they provided something to Nate Miley, and such as for instance election campaign contributions and/or get out the vote campaigns, etc, would have then Nate Miley as their biggest and strongest defender, accessory, and co-conspirator.

For example, let's never forget that even back when the original AND VERY POLITICALLY CONNECTED Yusef Bey was kidnapping teenage girls off the street and holding them for years as his slaves, Nate Miley continued to support Bey, AND EVEN AFTER WHEN EVIDENCE CAME OUT SO STRONG AND CLEARCUT THAT NOT EVEN MILEY COULD DENY THAT BEY HAD BEEN RUNNING A SLAVE OPERATION, MILEY STILL CONTINUED TO SUPPORT BEY.

(NOTE: And also back then such windbags as Bill Lockyer, Sharmin Bock, and Nancy O'Malley, and who now all pretend to be strongly against human trafficking and horrified by it, since pretending to be strongly against human trafficking is the latest fad by the phonies and windbags who pretend to be great liberals and wonferful humanitarians, had no objections to the criminal activities, and including kidnapping and enslavement, of the extremely politically connected Yusef Bey.)

In fact to learn more about the "standards" and "ethics" of the phonies and parasites, but who pretend to be great liberals and wonderful humanitarians, that infest the Bay area, study the history of Jim Jones, and later of Jonestown infamy.

More specifically, before Jones moved to Jonestown, and which was in Guyana, he was running various scams in the Bay area, and including slave camp type operations. However since he was doing favors for the local "liberal" politicians, and such as Willie Brown and San Francisco mayor George Moscone, so therefore Brown and Moscone never stopped praising Jones to the skies, and including even giving him testimonial dinners, no matter what he did.

So Nate Miley wants to pretend that he supports public safety and public health. That's a funny one. In fact, HA HA, HA HA, HA HA HA.

For instance, I am sure that most residents of Alameda County have by now heard about the fact that evidently a lot of people recently got very sick as a result of eating at a restaurant in the San Jose area that did not follow the rules in regard to sanitation.

However what if a restaurant, or for that matter any business, that was located in Alameda County decided to save money by cutting corners on items that affected public health and safety. But what if the business's owners and/or its lawyers gave Nate Miley large election campaign contributions and/or hired his sons, etc.

Let's have Nate Miley give us big laugh by him insisting that in such a situation he would not take the position that the business's owners were honest, honorable, and trustworthy people, and that any whistleblowers who said differently were obviously stupid and evil people and that no one should pay any attention to.

And in such a case if the restaurant and/or its lawyers had been paying under the table bribes to the inspectors in the Health Dept, Miley could then use his influence to see that the DA's office and/or the County Counsel's office appointed a team of professional pathological liars and common criminals hiding behind law licenses who would do a scripted, choreographed, and prearranged "investigation" that would " prove" that nothing illegal had occurred.
